Completely overhauled/restored device that is both aesthetically and technically in excellent condition (except AM - see below). The cabinet was fully stripped of varnish, and finished with 5 layers of varnish in two colours (top = rosewood / bottom = light walnut), with a black edge around the top and bottom. All brass parts were polished and protected with acrylic varnish. The speaker cloth is original and neat. Only a few small signs of age/wear are still visible up close. The following parts were replaced: - All electrolytic capacitors - All expired capacitors and resistors. - Tuning indicator tube EM84 (by Russian equivalent 6E1P) - Selenium rectifier: for robust silicon diodes, adaptive resistance and extra smoothing. - Scale lights The result is a very warm sounding, fully creak- and hum-free radio with separate high/low control and 4.2 watt output power. Input for record player with ceramic (crystal) cartridge. Moderate reception at LG, MG and KG with long (outer) antenna, as far as there are channels. Good reception on FM from 87.5 to 100 MHz with internal or external dipole antenna.
