Ernestine "Dé" Marie Tijdeman (Palembang (Dutch Indies) 1889-1967 The Hague) Painted and drew portraits, figures, flowers and still lifes. She was educated at the academy in the Hague, where she also lived for most of her life. She was married to the painter John Ruys from 1918 to 1923.
